Owner/Writer/Director

Born 1974 in an urban part of Boston, Massachusetts; Quentin Richard Lewis had a very humble upbringing. The only male in a small immediate family of three and the middle child, Quentin formed a close bond with his two sibling sisters, a bond fortified by their mom. During his youth Quentin enjoyed sports and hanging out amongst his peers, he could be considered the average neighborhood fella. While in high school he developed a desire to write but not in the conventional manner but through imagination, he was a visionary. With such an imagination he'd create stories, compare them to reality and or see them as premonitions of future or past events. Later in his mid to late twenties Quentin transitioned much of his imaginary stories from mind to paper where he'd hone his craft at screenwriting. Though Quentin would create other literary work, screenwriting was his passion, he enjoyed the story structure and character interaction. To further his knowledge and understanding of the art, Quentin would read and study screenplays from acclaimed writers and compare script to screen, which furthered his attraction and comprehension of the art form. In 2004, he'd attend a screenwriting course at the historical Harriet Tubman house in Boston, Massachusetts where he received commends on his writing ability from the course instructor; that experience reinforced his confidence as a writer and in late 2005 he'd complete his first feature length screenplay HIGHSTAKES. From there forward Quentin would create more literary content and draft his second feature length screenplay, FROSTY; he would go on to produce, record and direct the film, completing production in late 2018. As an independent filmmaker, creator and owner of 17th Letter Films, Quentin Richard Lewis plans to deliver more compelling motion picture art with the intent to extend to other independents alike on a welcoming platform for those who embrace the art.
